Marstel currently employs 60 people in Australia and New Zealand, and over the last 23 years has developed a customer focussed, highly motivated and experienced management team.

Having successfully undertaken the construction and development of two new bulk liquid terminals in recent years, at Coode Island and Mount Maunganui, Marstel has demonstrated the engineering and project delivery capability that provides the company with an outstanding platform, and confidence, to continue to implement its growth plans.

Over the 9 individual operating sites, Marstel currently manages approximately 185,000m³ of bulk storage capacity, with annual throughputs in excess of 400,000 tonnes.

The products Marstel routinely handle include petroleum fuels, biofuels, solvents, benzene, propylene oxide, styrene, alcohols, TDI, phenol, polyols, monomers, organic and inorganic acids and caustic soda. In addition, the company stores and handles a broad range of non-hazardous products including edible oils, base oils, plasticisers and glycols.

Marstel handles product by either direct pipeline import or export from or to its terminals, via its chemical barge in Auckland for direct ship discharge, bulk truck, tanktainers or by import or export of packaged product.
